Letter from Chantelle

Somemore behind the scenes planning. One of the gals that was to ride back with Chantell probably wont be able to make it. So we are working on plan B. It amazes me how woman I have never met before are sticking to their guns about making sure I don't ride any length alone even if they have never riddend alone. I got a Spunky chick covering my ass!! I love how so many of us woman riders are stepping out of their comfort zone. Just got to love Woman who Ride!! I had asked where the Hell is Praire du chein, the place where I was supposedly be going to be riding alone. I had told her if I had to I was sure I could do it!!
Hey Flo
Prarie du chein is approximately 180 miles due west of Milwaukee...a straight line drive...LMAO
My big plan was to try to get the rest of the gals to ride with both of us to Prairie du Chein. So far, I had only talked to Sunflower about that though and Draggie for Flotenerary info (that's when I found you would be by yourself for sure).
Look, the ride by myself is "not out of question". I am working on calming my MOM's nerves down. I tried explaining that I was already riding 150 plus miles by myself on each end of the trip even with Miram onboard. My mom had wanted to ride behind me in her car to the meeting point to meet up with ya'll on the first leg of the trip. How embarrassing would that have been with my mom pulling up behind me in her Toyota Matrix, LMAO? I mean it would be nice for her to meet the gals and she is a great woman, but geez. So, I talked her down from that by telling her that she would be at work when I made my trip from Serepta, LA (mirams house) and could not follow me then, lol. She will not stop me from doing it and she is slowly getting used to the idea. I've been sending her websites about women doing solo trips across the united states. Mom's gotta love em'.
I really am itching to do a solo trip thought. I've got to have a first solo trip sometime. I just want to look at my options first and I'd definitely rather not leave you solo, since that was the agreement from the beginning. I was trying to get info about who was riding etc and didn't want you to hear that from everyone before I talked with you.
Let's assume I am still riding my same course unless if we come up with a plan B, incase Gypsiecraft doesn't show. I hope she comes though cuz my sense of direction isn't much better than yours. But the two of us will manage.
Tony is attaching the GPS to my bike for sure now that I am riding solo, so that will be a plus for us. See, my husband has no qualms about me riding and I really do not. I'd be nutz if I weren't a little nervous, but I can do the riding. I only worry about creepy men..but I will dress up in my little dude outfit and not talk to strangers, LMAO.I need to build some character and a solo ride would be a great way of doing it, LMAO!!! Plus Draggie gave me her pep talk already, LMAO!!!Love ya too,Chantelle
