Few things excite and inspire us more than seeing a group of friends put together an event to raise money for a cause that is important to them. When we found out about Women Who Ride, we couldn’t wait to tell you about them and their second annual Conga Ride for Breast Cancer.
Each of these motorcycle enthusiasts has been personally affected by the disease, and they’ve decided to band together, raising money and awareness for Breast Cancer research with a cross-country motorcycle ride this summer. They’ll start in Florida and caravan all the way to Vancouver Island, British Columbia, going the proverbial extra mile with an online fundraising goal of $9000 for the Breast Cancer Fund.
Intrigued? These women are looking for riders to join them! You can find out more by visiting their blog. They have also garnered some well-deserved press coverage, including interviews with last year’s Conga riders:
We salute your efforts, ladies. Some of us at Firstgiving have also been personally affected by Breast Cancer, and since we can’t join you for what is sure to be an adventurous ride, we’ve made a donation to your fundraising page in support of your ride.
It can't be THAT difficult! Can it????
