Flo,
I'm glad that Priss let us know about your ride - and the great cause it benefits. The only downside is that we've learned about it so close to the date you plan to begin. I talked to my editor and he suggests that the best option at this point would be for IW to blog along with you as your ride progresses - would you be willing to share your posts with our IW blogger, Sam Kanish?
You can check out the blog and get a sense of Sam's style at www.IWBlogger.com
If you could keep in touch with Sam along your way - even if that's just to include him in the posting you do, then perhaps our readers could follow along, too. If nothing else, it brings in the potential for more donations to the cause. After you reach your destination, we could get a page about the trip into the magazine. That info could be taken from the blog entries or you could choose to send us a separate document of 200-300 words outlining the most memorable parts, people, places or whatever stands out.
Just keep in mind that for print, we'd need hi-res images, a different quality level from the images you post to digital places. Of course, we won't need many, perhaps half a dozen or so. Generally, if you put your camera on the highest quality setting, it should do. If you or Priss would like to send a test image ahead of time we can get that squared away.
Let me know what you think.
best,
Marilyn
